Subtraction is about taking away or even losing things!

We have been learning about subtracting and counting backwards!  We use maths equipment to work out the answer.  Sometimes we already know the answer because we have practised and we remember!

The firemen

We have been reading a book called "The Firemen". It is a poem by J.K.Baxter and the book has got some funny pictures!

We drew some fire engines and wrote about the story. Brayton wrote his story on the ipad. Clever work Brayton!

Thursday sport

Today we had basketball with Dianne.  

"We did some dribbles" said Nisha.

"It was fun playing basketball," said Cooper.

"We were good at throwing the ball up in the air," said Naroa.

"We played some games like, what's the time Mr Wolf, and the farmer and the chickens," said Emily and Alazae.

Friday morning exercise

The whole junior syndicate gets together for an assembly on Friday mornings. Sometimes we do exercise as well! It's a lot of fun. We are able to remember the moves and sing the songs at the same time!
